I am displaying some of my students' special projects on this site.  As you might guess, they have designed and constructed their own loudspeakers, from scratch, including crossover networks.

Example 1: Center Channel Home Theater Designs (crossover networks external). MTM alignment, magnetically shielded Goldwood 6.5" DVC and Dayton 1 1/8" silk dome, 4th order Linkwitz-Riley at 2000 Hz, "aperiodic" sealed boxes (Scan Speak resistive vent).  Speakers designed and built by Ashley, Julie, and Kim.

Example 2: Automobile speaker. Perfectly fit to a Mustang. Motorola Horn tweeter and Bravox 8 inch woofer with a 1st order Butterworth crossover network at 2500 Hz, in a sealed box, slanted prism, designed and built by Daniel.

Example 3:  Truncated cylinder. 8 inch Bravox and Dayton silk dome, crossed over at 2200 Hz with a 2nd order Linkwitz-Riley network,  0.6 cubic foot box (Scan Speak variovent underneath).  Crossover network mounted externally as in example 1 above.  Designed 'and built by Lindsey.
